Coca-Cola India · Visicooler pilot · deployment VC-Q4 · 200 coolers, 50 to each of 4 metros · live as crews scan
The whole point
A Visicooler is the most expensive asset Coca-Cola puts into the trade, and today it
goes dark the moment it leaves the plant. This screen answers two questions in one
look: 169 of the 200 reached an outlet, and the 31 that did not are split at the two
checkpoints into 5 lost in transit and 26 lost at the last mile. Not a vague
complaint, a specific question for a specific party.

The money line
Of 31 coolers Coca-Cola paid for and never saw in an outlet, the checkpoints
separate the blame. 5 never reached a regional warehouse, lost in transit to
Bengaluru, which is the transporter's to answer for. The other 26 reached a
warehouse but were never installed, which is the crews'. Two problems, two owners,
one screen.
The asset, and where the two codes live
1Crate code · scanned at the warehouse
Applied to the shipping crate before dispatch. The receiver scans it as the
consignment comes off the truck, which proves the cooler reached the city it
was sent to.
2Cooler code · scanned at the outlet
Applied to the cooler body itself, so it stays with the asset for life. The
install crew scans it on placement, and the same code is what any later audit
visit reads.
Why two codes and not one
The crate is thrown away; the cooler is not. One code proves delivery into the
city, the other stays on a ten-year asset and can be re-scanned any time
afterwards. Both resolve to the same Visicooler, so the two checkpoints join
into one history.

Reads at a glance
Two different leaks in two different cities. Bengaluru lost 5 before the
warehouse, a transport problem. Delhi received all 50 but only placed 39, the
worst install rate of the four, a crew problem. Coca-Cola now knows exactly who
to call.
A cooler can miss at either checkpoint. VC-0088 reached the Delhi warehouse but was
never placed, a last-mile loss. VC-0196 never reached the Bengaluru warehouse at
all, a transit loss. VC-0154 is in the outlet but not cold, which is a service call
rather than a missing asset. Click any row for the full record: photo, exact GPS,
receiver, installer, and both scan times.
Where this goes next
Beyond deployment
Because the cooler code lives on the asset and not on the packaging, the same scan
works long after installation. A rep, auditor or service engineer standing in front
of the cooler can re-scan it to confirm it is still in the outlet it was assigned
to, still cooling, and still in condition, and each visit appends to the same
history rather than overwriting it. That is the natural second phase, and it is not
wireframed here: this deck covers deployment only.
